What does this service include?

This is a bathroom refresh without major building works: we replace sanitaryware, taps, the shower screen and furniture, keeping tiles and flooring. Perfect for 1990s–2000s bathrooms that still work but look dated. If tiles need to come off, sockets need redistributing or walls need taking down, see the full bathroom renovation page.

We cover:

  • Bath-to-shower conversion (one-for-one swap, without moving the drain)
  • WC, basin and bidet replacement
  • Single-lever or thermostatic tap installation
  • Fixed or sliding shower screen fitting
  • New bathroom unit with worktop and mirror
  • Towel rail and bathroom radiator replacement
  • Plumbing connections and perimeter silicone

We deal with local coastal suppliers (Roca, Tres, Sanitec, Salgar) — prices are better than the big-box stores and lead times are shorter.

How long does it take?

Typical jobs:

  • Bath to shower tray conversion: 2–3 days
  • Full sanitaryware swap (WC + basin + taps): 1–2 days
  • Bathroom unit with worktop: 1 day (excluding delivery)
  • Made-to-measure shower screen: 1 day (manufacturing takes 2–3 weeks separately)
  • Full refresh without touching tiles: 5–10 days

The bottleneck is usually the factory lead time for the screen or unit — order them as soon as you sign off the quote, not on the day we start.

How much does it cost?

2026 prices, mid-to-high range sanitaryware included (Roca, Sanitec, Tres) and qualified labour with clean finishes:

  • WC swap with concealed cistern: €550 – €1,100
  • Bath replaced with resin shower tray: €2,000 – €3,500
  • 80 cm bathroom unit with basin: €1,000 – €2,200
  • 120 cm sliding shower screen: €750 – €1,400
  • Made-to-measure fixed screen (tempered glass, minimalist framing): €1,200 – €2,200
  • Thermostatic taps Tres / Hansgrohe: €280 – €700
  • Full refresh: sanitaryware + taps + screen + unit: €3,500 – €9,000

If you want high-end sanitaryware (Duravit, Geberit Sigma, Hansgrohe Axor), add 40–80% to materials. Labour stays the same.

These ranges aren’t the cheapest on the market. They’re what it costs to do the job right the first time: level panels, clean silicone, a screen that still closes without forcing at 5 years, real warranty. We work for international owners who’ve seen what happens with suspiciously low quotes.

How do we work?

  1. Free visit. We see the bathroom, check connections, assess what can be swapped without building works.
  2. Design and material selection. We help you choose sanitaryware and screen, or work with what you’ve already bought.
  3. Firm quote within 24–48 hours. Labour + materials if we supply.
  4. Execution. We protect corridors and floors on the route, remove old fittings, install the new ones, adjust, silicone.
  5. Handover. We check for leaks, screen adjustment and sanitaryware levels with you present. We hand over the warranties.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep using the bathroom during the works? Partially. On the WC swap day there’s no toilet; we warn you in advance. If it’s your only home, we plan disconnections to last less than a working day.

Do tiles also need replacing when converting bath to shower? Almost always yes in the area where the bath was (you’re left with a “frame” of wall-coloured tiles outside and white inside where the bath sat). Either you replace the tile if you can find a matching model, or we do a microcement or resin front over the existing tiles — comes out cheaper than ripping out.

Do you handle drain work? Minor adjustments yes (raising or lowering the trap by 5 cm). Moving drains significantly counts as a full renovation, not a fit-out.

What warranty do I get? 2 years on labour. Sanitaryware and taps carry manufacturer warranty (Roca and Tres offer 5 years on ceramics, 5 on taps).

Do you work in holiday lets with tenants in between? Yes, but calendar blocks of 5–10 days need coordinating. Better in low season (November–February).

Do you serve international owners who don’t live here? Yes — a large share of our clients are British, German, Swedish and Dutch with second homes. We have a bilingual team and an English-speaking project manager who coordinates the job with you by WhatsApp/email while you’re in your country. Photographic progress reports, quotes and invoices also in English.
