What does this service include?

A full kitchen renovation: we strip the old kitchen and install a brand-new one, including new services, tiling, flooring, units, worktop and appliances. Turnkey, fixed price. If you only need assembly of units you’ve already bought, see kitchen installation.

We cover:

  • Demolition of existing kitchen, removal of units and rubble
  • Layout planning and redistribution (move the sink, central island, open up to the lounge by removing a wall)
  • New plumbing: sink, dishwasher, washing machine if applicable
  • New electrics: sockets for hob, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, extractor, LED lighting
  • Extractor vent to façade with new opening if needed
  • Mid-height or full-height tiling, or porcelain / glass / steel splashback
  • Kitchen flooring (large-format porcelain, microcement)
  • Kitchen units (Bulthaup, SieMatic, Schmidt, Forlady, IKEA, local bespoke kitchens)
  • Worktop (laminate, Silestone/Compac quartz, granite, Dekton, porcelain, marble)
  • Appliances (Bosch, Siemens, AEG, Miele, Neff, Balay)
  • LED lighting under wall units and ceiling
  • Plasterboard suspended ceiling if contracted
  • Final painting

We work with local suppliers in Marbella, Málaga and Fuengirola — prices are better than at big-box stores, and after-sales service is closer.

How long does it take?

10–15 m² kitchen:

  • Week 1: demolition, removal, services replanning
  • Week 2: new plumbing and electrics, tiling and flooring
  • Week 3: delivery of units, assembly, connections
  • Week 4: worktop (measured after base units are in, fabricated, installed), appliances
  • Week 5: adjustments, silicone, lighting, painting, handover

Total 3–5 weeks, depending on lead times of units and worktop. Bespoke Spanish kitchens: 4–8 weeks fabrication. Premium German kitchens: 8–14 weeks.

How much does it cost?

Honest 2026 ranges for a 10–15 m² kitchen, all inclusive (qualified labour + materials + mid-to-high appliances + VAT + bilingual project manager):

  • Standard renovation (IKEA METOD kitchen properly finished, Silestone worktop, Bosch appliances): €8,000 – €12,000
  • Mid-to-high (bespoke Spanish kitchen Forlady/Schmidt, Silestone/Compac worktop, Bosch Series 6/Siemens appliances): €12,000 – €18,000
  • High-end (German kitchen SieMatic/Leicht/Nolte, Dekton/Neolith worktop, Siemens iQ700/Miele appliances): €18,000 – €25,000
  • Luxury (Bulthaup, Calacatta marble worktop, Miele/Gaggenau appliances, central island, wine cabinet): €25,000 – €50,000+

Appliances can move the budget a lot: an induction hob ranges from €450 (Balay) to €2,500 (Bora). An oven from €600 to €4,000 (Miele steam). We show you options by spend level.

Our client profile — international owners with a second home or main residence on the coast — looks for quality finish, on-time delivery and clear communication. Those three points are what costs money. If your priority is the lowest possible price, we’re not the right fit — there are cheaper local builders who can serve you better.

How do we work?

  1. Free site visit. We measure, photograph existing services, ask how you cook and live in the kitchen.
  2. Kitchen design. Plan view and elevations with units, materials and appliances proposal. 2–3 design meetings until we lock the proposal.
  3. Firm quote. Itemised by trade: building, plumbing, electrics, tiling, units, worktop, appliances, installation. No “to be estimated”.
  4. Execution. We protect access. Daily rubble removal. We warn before water/electricity cuts. Weekly visits with you to review progress.
  5. Handover. Appliance testing with you, care guide (how to clean Silestone vs Dekton, adjust Blum hinges, etc.), warranty pack.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep living at home? Yes, but without a kitchen for 3–5 weeks. Most clients set up a “backup kitchen” in another room (microwave, mini fridge, kettle) or eat out / order in. We warn you of the no-water day so you can plan.

Quartz or porcelain worktop? Quartz (Silestone, Compac): best value, very durable, avoid direct heat. Porcelain (Dekton, Neolith): handles heat and scratching better, finer aesthetic, more expensive. Natural granite: very durable but porous, needs periodic sealing. Natural marble: beautiful but delicate — not the most practical for a heavy-use kitchen.

Open-plan to lounge or closed kitchen? Clear trend on the Costa del Sol: open kitchen with central island, in homes where the layout allows (not always — depends on structure). If you like keeping smells contained, fit a tempered-glass sliding door.

Induction or gas? Induction in 95% of new kitchens: faster, cleaner, allows for a worktop that’s easier to clean. We only recommend gas if you’re a professional cook needing a large wok.

Warranty? 3 years on labour. Units 5–10 years (Bulthaup 25 years on carcasses). Worktop 10–25 years depending on brand (Silestone 25 years). Appliances 2 years extendable to 5.

Do you serve owners living abroad? Yes, it’s our standard profile. We have a bilingual Spanish–English team and an English-speaking project manager assigned to each renovation. We coordinate design by video call in your timezone, send weekly photographic progress, and work with quotes and invoices in English if you prefer. It’s what sets us apart from the typical local builder — we deliver to a good standard and run the works the way you expect them to be run.
