Airless painting

What does this service include?

Airless painting is high-pressure spray application without air. It’s faster than a roller, leaves a more uniform coat, and works well on textured surfaces (gotelé stipple, single-coat façade render). For small homes it isn’t worth it — the setup and cleaning time doesn’t pay off. For villas, large flats (>100 m²), commercial premises or façades, it’s the right system.

We cover:

We use plastic emulsion, satin or enamel finishes depending on surface and use, with brands such as Procolor, Titán and Bruguer. For exteriors on the Costa del Sol we recommend pliolite or silicate paint — they handle the sun and coastal salt air better.

How long does it take?

Typical timescales for prepared surfaces (no gotelé to remove, no damp to treat):

• 70 m² flat interior (walls and ceilings): 2–3 days
• 150 m² villa interior: 4–6 days
• 200 m² linear villa façade: 3–5 days
• 100 m² commercial premises: 1–2 days on night shift

If there’s damage (cracks, damp, gotelé) preparation adds 2–5 days.

How much does it cost?

2026 prices all-in — equipment, qualified labour, branded paint, protection and final cleaning:

• Interior one coat matt white: €8 – €11 / m²
• Interior two coats colour: €10 – €14 / m²
• Interior with prep (sanding, filling, cracks): €13 – €18 / m²
• Exterior pliolite façade: €12 – €18 / m²
• Premium mineral silicate exterior: €18 – €25 / m²
• Ceiling lacquering: €14 – €22 / m²

There’s a service minimum of €700 – €900 to make it worth bringing out the kit and covering setup costs. For a single room, roller painting is more reasonable — we’ll tell you so during the visit even if we lose the job.

We don’t compete with low-cost quotes. The difference shows in the finish at 18 months — no peeling at joints, no dark patches where damp was poorly sealed, none of the thin film of cheap paint that flakes when strong sun hits it. We work for clients who’ve already lived through the “cheap-twice-equals-expensive” cycle.

How do we work?

1. Free visit. We measure surfaces, check the state of the walls, recommend product and finish.
2. Firm quote. We detail m², number of coats, paint brand and timescale.
3. Preparation. We protect floors, furniture and joinery with plastic and tape. We cover sockets and switches.
4. Application. Primer if required, one or two coats per contract, with drying time between coats.
5. Cleaning and handover. We remove protections, touch up details with a brush, leave the home clean.

Frequently asked questions

Does airless make more mess than a roller? Not when properly applied and protected. The kit atomises finely and is contained. Walls that aren’t being painted are covered with site plastic before we start.

Can I stay at home while you paint? For interior work, usually yes — we paint room by room. If anyone has asthma or respiratory issues, it’s better to leave during application and return 4–6 hours later with ventilation open.

Which paint best withstands the Costa del Sol sun? Mineral silicate for façades. More expensive but lasts 12–15 years without fading. Pliolite is the mid-range option: 8–10 years. Standard plastic emulsion outdoors lasts 4–6 years here.

Do you treat damp before painting? Yes, if it’s superficial (efflorescence, condensation). If there’s structural seepage, the cause must be fixed first — painting over it is throwing money away.

Warranty? 2 years on labour. The paint carries the manufacturer’s warranty (usually 5–12 years on premium exterior).
